Thanks to the European Union’s new data privacy policies, its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy have been updated. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPPR) users of the European Union, which will take effect on May 25, can download and transfer their data. Facebook and Instagram already have to request account information for their users.

The Facebook owner-owned chat app provides more transparency in data sharing system. The chat application in a blog post has announced a new feature that allows the user to download the app from its servers.

“In the coming weeks, you will be able to view and download your AP account information and settings. This feature, the request account information will be displayed to all users around the world in the latest version of the app,” the blog says. However, you should note that this new feature does not include your chat history. Cover feature information in the request report, such as your profile photo and group names.

WhatsApp says your report will be available within about 3 days after the date of your request. Deleting your account, changing the number or device or re-registering your account, can cancel your cancellation if you make a request during your request.
